Caio Terra association
Caio Terra has been instructing students and producing world champions since 2004. He is a 12 time IBJJF World Champion, multiple time Pans and American National champion and trainer to numerous world and ADCC champions. In 2012 he launched the Caio Terra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association. Founded on the principle that through Jiu-Jitsu we can make the world a better place!
CTA PORTLAND
The Caio Terra Academy, Portland, was founded by Caio Terra Black Belt, Aaron Neuman, and his best friends Ben and Monica Duckett. Before opening the Academy, Aaron spent extensive time at Caio Terra Academy HQ in San Jose, learning directly from Professor Caio Terra. In January 2020, they opened their doors and today are an integral part of the pdx bjj community.
OUR ACADEMY
We are one of Oregon's premier martial arts facilities. With programs for men, women, children specializing in Jiu Jitsu, we also offer a strength and conditioning class two days a week! I'm an out of state brown belt that recently moved to the area, and Aaron and the whole team at CTA Portland were very welcoming and made me feel right at home. If you are thinking about trying brazilian jiu jitsu and are unsure of where to train, look no further. Being a newer gym, there is no shortage of people who are also beginning their training. On top of that, the instructors are clear and patient and will take their time with you if you are unsure of a certain movement or technique. Come by and train, the hardest thing you'll ever do in jiu jitsu is walk through the front door that first time!
